European days of the entrepreneur (EDE)

“INNOVATION AND ENTREPREUNERSHIP”. The forum was organized under the auspices of Sofia University and Sofia Municipality, targeted to discuss challenges in front of the business and local authorities for planning and implementing projects under the EC Structural Funds. Special attention was given to the encouragement of small and medium enterprises for participation in the EU programmes and initiatives and for transfer of knowledge and know-how.

NOVATech Competitition

First Business Plan Competition in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) - part of the worldwide competition IBTEC (Intel Berkeley Technology Entrepreneurship Challenge) sponsored by the technology giant Intel. It is a joint project of Intel and Berkeley, University of California, aiming to give students, alumni and local entrepreneurs the opportunity to work together to turn innovative ideas into successful businesses. The event is organized on annual base and involves teams from the CEE region: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Turkey, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. The first 2006 event was held in cooperation with Bulgarian Institute for Management and Technology (BIMT), Sofia University and the Bulgarian ICT Cluster. The two winning teams took part at the world finals in Berkeley, USA.

BCI 2007 Balkan Conference in Informatics

BCI'2007 is the 3-rd Balkan Conference in Informatics that aims to provide a forum for discussions and dissemination of research achievements, to promote interaction and collaboration among scientists from the Balkans and beyond, and to encourage involvement of young researchers from the region.
